Differing factions in the area have been warring with one another for centuries. The Highborn, the Marrow, the Lowborn, the Ferals, and the Silver Hand all struggle with one another for power.
The Highborn are the movers and shakers of Fae society. They hold the power, and they will stop at nothing to retain it. Members of this faction are often born into or acquire massive wealth through their own personal means, ensuring they have the ability to hold their positions. They are lead by a man name Malachai MontBlanc, with is second being Jessi De La Vega. The Highborn have their own enforcers that work much like body guards, and among them are Baldwin Giuseppe and Carmilla Darling.
The Marrow are Fae middle class, and most of them are just trying to get by. The Marrow have no leadership, inasmuch as the Highborn do, but rather sway back and forth between "leaders." Prominent Marrow include Marcus Von Tronk and Lydia Devlin.
The Lowborn are considered to be like blue-collar Fae, and they are have within them their own unions, creating a power struggle within the faction itself.
Lastly, the Ferals are monstrous Fae that survive underground and in the dregs of society. They have lost almost all humanity and cannot be allowed to attain power. These Fae are often pursued by the Highborn who are bent on eliminating this dirty secret. Ferals are lead by a dangerous cadre of constantly bickering Fae "generals" who would just as soon stab each other in the back as be a true leader. Only rumors exist of their leaders' names. It is of note that calling someone "Feral" is a grave insult.
